Statement of Persons Nominated and Notice of Poll as a PDF Document

A poll will be held on Thursday 18th July to elect a Town Councillor for West Ward, Witham. The cost of a by-election in 2022 was £6,500, of which £2,500 was the cost of producing and posting the polling cards. Rising costs over the last few years, including postage, means that the cost of holding a by-election will have risen significantly. As a result, and in an effort to reduce costs, we will not be issuing polling cards for the West Ward By-Election. Details of polling stations will be published here as soon as they are available.

Witham Town Council is comprised of 5 Wards and 16 Councillors. Town Council elections are held every 4 years, the next full election being held in May 2027.
